LEG (muscle) CRAMPS, also called "charley horses," usually involve an involuntary, painful muscle contraction that feels like a "knot." A charley horse may have awakened you during the night or suddenly while you were exercising. The pain is usually severe. So how do you prevent a charley horse from sneaking up on you? Avoid beverages like coffee, tea, sodas and energy drinks these can cause dehydration, which can lead to cramps. Drink "water" instead of those other beverages especially before, during, and after workouts.
